The “Information Security Association of the Argentine Republic” (ASIRA) is a NGO (Non Governmental organisation), not involved with any political party and without profit purposes, aimed to the development, study and research about the security in the information and communication systems problem, creating places for the appropriate knowledge development in order to produce policies that favor the safe management of the information. ASIRA is inscribed as a legal entity (N° 1756522/53316). ASIRA develops prevention plans, guides, interact with national and international organisms and gives advice to all kind of companies and organisations regarding information managing and security. It specializes in minors’ Internet accessibility, e-mail inboxes violations, unfiltered contents traffic, e-mail and Internet irresponsible use, etc; and organizes sensitization encounters directed to companies, teachers, institutions, governments, families and everyone who is interested in this global impact problem, promoting safe Internet use. Infantile pornography, a worring subject One of the major problems ASIRA faces is the fight against infantile pornography, pedophilia and any kind of kids’ abuse through the Internet. This international worry characterizes for the absence of legislation and national policies and for the legal emptiness in regard to this increasing problematic, mostly related to new technologies progresses. Together with many European organisms, ASIRA agrees with the necessity of promoting awareness campaigns to contribute with the process of getting a safe Internet for children. Main goals • Make people conscious about the sensitiveness of the organisations’ information exposition facing multiple computer crimes. • Promote and contribute with creating policies, statues, certifications and effective regulations taking into account the constant threaten of computer crimes and abuses through the net. •Develop and spread new tools and researches built up in our “Information Security Labs” beginning from the R+D programs (Research and Development). • Advice companies, governments and other
organisations about various themes all related to the information
security. |
